The mechanical advantage of a horizontal machining center lies in the gravity chip evacuation effect provided by the horizontal spindle layout. This Makino a51nx features a 15,000 rpm spindle with 120 N·m torque, a typical configuration for high material removal rates. When performing rough machining on molds within the Y640/Z640 travel range, the downward cutting force of the horizontal spindle peels the chips away naturally, completely eliminating secondary crushing of chips inside the cavity and ensuring the thermal stability of the material under heavy cutting depths.

In the machining of bottle cavities, the core value of the 4th axis is not complex surface interpolation, but high-rigidity indexing. The 400×400mm worktable, while carrying a 400kg workpiece, ensures an indexing accuracy within 0.005mm, guaranteeing absolute coaxiality when flip-milling multi-cavity molds. It is precisely by relying on this heavy-duty machining and high-precision indexing capability of the horizontal 4-axis that we can stably undertake the manufacturing of molds and spare parts for blow molding machines, filling machines, and labeling equipment that are compatible with brands such as Sidel, Krones, KHS, and Tetra Pak, eliminating cumulative angular errors across multiple stations.

The engineering essence of the dual-worktable design is parallel overlap on the time axis. It decouples two originally mutually exclusive actions: "spindle cutting" and "manual clamping and alignment." While the spindle is executing the program on Pallet A, Pallet B is simultaneously undergoing workpiece replacement and datum dialing. This physical isolation completely eliminates the dead time of machine stoppage inherent in single-pallet equipment, drastically lifting the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) in batch subcontracting, and compressing the single-piece machining cycle time to the limit.
