In the manufacturing of precision rotary parts, the traditional separated process of "turning first, milling later" harbors a fatal variable: secondary clamping. When the workpiece completes the datum construction of its outer circle and inner bore on a lathe and is transferred to a milling machine for hole drilling or flat milling, a new clamping force must be applied. This change in clamping state and the microscopic deviation brought by secondary alignment often directly destroy the part's concentricity and perpendicularity requirements.

The engineering value of the Doosan mill-turn center lies in thoroughly achieving "datum consistency." Under the premise of maintaining 0.001mm accuracy on both the X and Z axes, the 5000 RPM spindle, combined with C-axis power indexing, enables a seamless switch between turning and milling states in a single setup. From rough turning the blank to finish boring the inner bore, and then to radial drilling and tapping, the physical transfer of the datum zero point never occurs throughout the process. It is precisely by relying on this ability to eliminate datum transfer errors that we can accurately manufacture molds and spare parts for blow molding machines, filling machines, and labeling equipment that are compatible with brands such as Sidel, Krones, KHS, and Tetra Pak, ensuring that the geometric tolerances of core rotary structural components like precision guide pillars and center valve cores remain in an absolutely controlled state.

Furthermore, the high concentration of processes also cuts off the interference of intermediate transfer links on the surface state. Eliminating cross-process handling and secondary clamping not only avoids the risks of dents and oxidation on machined surfaces, but the uniform heat distribution formed by continuous cutting further locks in the final dimensional stability and surface finish of the part.
